Maybe it is simply an aspect of 21st century life but we don't seem to have a happy medium any more. It seems to be feast or famine, ecstasy or tragedy, euphoria or misery. There is no middle ground. Nobody is slightly grumpy or moderately chuffed because they don't make interesting headlines.
So the early response to Brexit "now seemed slightly irrational".
As one or our more experienced economic commentators might have put it - "doh!"
Columbia Threadneedle has lifted the suspension of trading on its property fund, imposed in July as investors sought to withdraw funds in the wake of the Brexit vote. The company’s managing director of property, Don Jordison, said much of the earlier commentary now seemed slightly irrational, and that more informed reflection had settled the market.
